On the 19th and 23rd of January, Las Ventas Tour was at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Ifema, at the Madrid Stand, to promote the types of visits we have available, especially the new Tourist Visits, as well as to present their results, with the presence of Mr. Carlos Novillo, Vice-Councillor of Presidency and Mr. Miguel Abellán, Manager of the Centre for Bullfighting Affairs of the Community of Madrid.

Furthermore, in 2022 we hope everything will return to “normal” by reaching an attendance figures superior to 100,000 visitors that we were counting on in 2019, when everything was normal. Las Ventas Tour achieved a record 103,134 visitors in 2019, of which 90 percent came from outside Spain. The tourist experience began operating after three month of pandemic in july 2021 and since then visits have been increasing monthly until reaching a peak in November. By the end of autumn, it has reached almost 65 percent over November 2019. The Las Ventas Tour expects the recovery to be boosted from February onwards after the cooling caused by Omicron.
In order to attract the maximum number of visitors, the Las Ventas Tour team will continue to introduce important new features. In addition to the incorporation of the Bullfighting Museum to the visit to the Bullring, which has been a major attraction especially for national visitors and even for locals, original proposals such as the Micro Theatre performances in the bullring itself are also being added. In this sense, in the next few weeks the staging of “Tragabuches en los Corrales de la Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas” will be promoted, a piece that is groundbreaking, original and very impressive, as it is performed unexpectedly during the visit to the bullring and lasts fifteen minutes.
